About Me

 I am a former fourth-grade teacher turned instructional coach in Iowa.  I love teaching, technology and learning new things.  I've been in education for 24 years. I have taught third, fourth and fifth grade. The 2018-19 school year will be my third year as a coach.  It is quite different from having a classroom of my own but I love the opportunity to work with more teachers and students, sharing my passion for reading and all things learning.

I am the proud mother of 7; 4 boys and 2 girls, plus a fantastic bonus son, the grandma of 6 beautiful babies with another on the way.  They keep me busy and I like to think they also keep me young. :)  My very frisky German Shepard-Husky mix pup named Faolan keeps me on my toes and makes sure I get some exercise.

An admitted bookaholic- you should see my bookshelves...let's just say it's time to get more (shelves that is). Reading, teaching, and learning are my passions. I want to help all students find a love of reading as it is a skill that can take you anywhere.
